An outstanding achiever and a true patriot who dedicated his life to his beloved country

Willie G. Adams

Willie George Adams, born December 10, 1945, in Chattanooga, TN to George and Willa Adams, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on 25 June 2022. Willie was a highly decorated Vietnam War Veteran of the United States Army having served as a part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 101st Airborne Division.

Willie Adams showed outstanding achievement and dedication to his country. Having gone to Vietnam on 3 separate tours, Adams received 2 purple hearts, and certainly returned home an American hero

He has left behind family who love him and will miss him dearly:

Son: Willie G. Adams, II

Grandchildren: Anthony, Alia, Ethan and Ayden;

Daughter: Demetra Adams Davis

Granddaughter: Kala Marie Reid
Great Grandson: Lennox Grey Reid-Gorham;

Daughter: Angee M. Adams
Son: Lance E. Adams

Grandchildren: Evander, Ella, Leona, Yaron, and Luca

Daughter: Melissa Danielle Wilson

Grandchildren: Jack, Zipporah, Jazlyn Atkinson
Great Grandson Sage Atkinson.

He has loved yet left behind his brothers: Robert O. Reid, Herman L. Reid, and James E. Reid.

Additionally, his loving sister Judy Shropshire, beloved Aunt Lula (Wheeler), his fellow Army brother Benjamin Whipple (“In a Minute”), and his very best friend of many years: Hannelore Bryant (who was the oldest).

So many lives were made better because they were touched by Willie; and likewise, his life was blessed as well. You will be missed.
