Tennessee Urban Outdoors, Inc. aims to foster a culture that encourages and supports black and brown families in spending more time outdoors, engaging in activities that promote their overall health and well-being. By increasing outdoor participation among these communities, we believe we can make significant strides in improving and advancing our cultures and communities. To achieve this, we seek to collaborate with various stakeholders, including businesses, fitness organizations, farming initiatives, sports groups, and government entities, all united by the common goal of promoting health, bonding, longevity, happiness, fitness, self-esteem, legacy, and community. Together, we can create a positive and sustainable change in the lives of black and brown individuals and the communities they belong to.

Our mission at TUO (Tennessee Urban Outdoors) is to empower and inspire black and brown families to embrace the benefits of outdoor engagement. We strive to remove barriers and provide accessible opportunities for families to participate in outdoor activities, promoting their health, happiness, and overall well-being. Through community-building and collaboration, we aim to create a positive and inclusive outdoor culture that strengthens families and nurtures a love for nature.
